Shipware / SIB parcel audit profile

Reviewed

SIB describes the Shipware offering as part of its broader spend management business, with parcel and LTL invoice audit among the services listed.

The current offering sits within SIB

SIB says Shipware is now integrated into its business. Its Shipware page lists parcel and LTL invoice audit for billing discrepancies and eligible refunds. It separately lists UPS and FedEx contract optimization, 3PL contract optimization, freight and modal optimization, and shipping spend management. Those are distinct offerings, so ask which items appear in an audit proposal.

UPS and FedEx are explicitly named for contract optimization. SIB’s current Shipware page does not identify a complete list of carriers covered by parcel audit. The buyer should confirm which parcel and LTL carrier accounts are included and whether they share a reporting workflow.

A broader spend context

SIB presents SpendBrain as part of its broader spend offering and describes work with contracts, invoices and anomalies. For a buyer interested in both parcel auditing and spend management, ask which reports or technology access accompany the specific engagement. A platform description does not establish that a feature is included with an audit quote.

The current Shipware page does not publish an audit fee model. Ask the SIB team to identify the contracting entity, the fee basis and whether any separate optimization work is priced independently. Existing Shipware customers are directed to their representative or SIB’s shipping team.

Worked example (hypothetical)

A hypothetical buyer has parcel invoices and LTL bills under separate accounts. It asks SIB to show whether each mode has its own issue queue and reconciliation export and requests separate pricing for any optional contract work.

Questions to ask

  • Which entity signs the audit agreement?
  • Which parcel and LTL carriers does the quote include?
  • Which SpendBrain outputs are included, if any?
